The art of layering, or "attar mixing," is a hallmark of Middle Eastern perfumery. It allows the wearer to create a truly bespoke scent profile that evolves beautifully throughout the day.
The Foundation
Begin with a base of pure Oud oil or a heavy wood-based parfum. Apply it to warm pulse points—wrists, behind the ears, and the base of the throat.
Adding the Heart
Once the base has settled, introduce a floral or spicy middle note. Jasmine, Taif Rose, or Saffron work exceptionally well to brighten the deep intensity of the oud.
"Layering is an expression of self. There are no rules, only preferences."
